Description

Kantha Embroidery- Kantha embroidery is a centuries old art form of West Bangal that reuses old saries and fabrics into clothing, quilts by a simple running stich to create a textured effects by layering the fabrics. They use black color running stich for outline and red, green, blue, yellow colors for filling the motifs. Traditional motifs are lotus, human figures, animals, birds, folk scenes etc.
