Description

Sujani Embroidery- Sujani is a traditional embroidery technique from Bihar, India. An old art form that reuses old saris and fabrics into clothing, quilts by layering the fabrics. The process involves tracing designs, creating a fine running stich for the background by outlining the motifs using chain stich and filling them with running stich with red, yellow, blue, black, brown colors. traditional motifs are nature, fertility symbols, flaura and fauna, daily routines, human figures, mythological characters and geometric patterns etc.
